So I've heard that I go a little picture happy with my blog posts, so for this post I'm playing editor-in-chief with the help of my blog mentor...Luba...and have narrowed it down to 7 pics. It's short sweet and to the point if I may say so myself. Seeing as we have a fashion section in our school library, I decided that since it is my senior year, I should go check out what kind of books we have. I don't know about your school, but my school has archives of old Vogue's, W's and Harper's Bazaar's. I'm talking when vogue had illustrations on their covers. Anyhow, as you can see I got lost in our library today. It was greaaat!

"In the dark of the night" as the music played, the girls strut out of their palace's front door in a romantic mood. They wore feminine frills, lace and chiffons with beautifully scuplted jackets and coats. They were on fire with their rouge pouts and messy manes. You could see the whole story in the details; from the chokers to the lace-peep-toe booties. The colors were a soft breeze in the evening.

The assignment, color. The first time I saw the Hermes ad at the very top of this post I felt this exictment and desire you might feel when you are getting ready to go see your man or something (I miss that feeling). But anyhow, this ad did just that for me, and I didn't have to drive to East LA for it. It looks as if she's laying on different pillows, but they're all different scarves. And she has different scarves braided into her hair, which I thought was dopeness. I think I'm scared to wear color, or maybe I'm just not used to it, but one day when my discretionary income is a bit larger, I'm sure I'll branch out. Using the Hermes ad as my inspiration, I searched for different vibrant colors and prints that I love in my magazines. What do you think of the ad?
